The Hilscher EU5C-SWD series comprises advanced gateways designed to seamlessly integrate SmartWire-DT networks with various industrial Ethernet protocols, including PROFINET, POWERLINK, EtherCAT, and Sercos. Each gateway variant connects SmartWire-DT networks to a specific industrial Ethernet protocol:

• EU5C-SWD-PROFINET: Interfaces with PROFINET controllers, enabling seamless data exchange and integration.
  The cyclic process data is exchanged and converted transparently between both networks. 1000 bytes of I/O data can be exchanged with up to 99 SmartWire-DT stations.
• EU5C-SWD-POWERLINK: Connects to POWERLINK networks, facilitating real-time data communication.
  The device thereby maps the process data of all SmartWire-DT stations modularly to I/O objects. 1000 bytes input and output process data can be mapped via TxPDOs and RxPDOs and will be transferred transparently between both network protocols.
• EU5C-SWD-ETHERCAT: Links with EtherCAT systems, ensuring high-speed data transfer and synchronization.
  Each SmartWire-DT station represents a single EtherCAT slave and is mapped with its process data modularly in slots. The device can transmit, exchange, and convert 1000 bytes of I/O data transparently between both networks. All 99 SmartWire-DT stations are supported.
• EU5C-SWD-SERCOS: Integrates with Sercos automation buses, providing deterministic communication for motion control applications.
  As SERCOS slave, the device maps each SmartWire-DT station and its process data modularly in separate IO Function Groups. 252 bytes of I/O process data of up to 99 SWD stations stations can be transmitted, exchanged, and converted transparently between both networks.
