Especially in case of components that are becoming more complex with increasingly comprehensive communication protocols, concentrating on the essentials must be easy. Trawling manually through endless telegram records is not practical and takes too much time.

With netANALYZER Scope, a software extension for the successful Ethernet analysis tool netANALYZER, you have your process data at hand at any time. netANALYZER Scope automatically interprets the entire system-specific telegram traffic and clearly displays the transferred process values with an exact 10 ns time stamp, with plain text names and the correct data type. All process values are recorded seamlessly, cycle by cycle, exactly as they occur, thus, no potentially important value will be lost.

The tool does not only record process values, it also calculates and presents the classic netANALYZER measuring values, such as telegram jitters, cycle time, forwarding time or network load. Moreover, the tool automatically detects important events such as alarms or missing process data telegrams. What makes it even more outstanding is the fact that the data can all be illustrated graphically on a common time base. The values can be grouped or superimposed as desired in oscilloscope-type views. Interconnections and cross-effects from the transmission layer to the application layer thus quickly become visible making it significantly easier to localize problems.

Intervention in a PLC program or the device software itself is not necessary, since the passively recorded Ethernet traffic is used as the basis for analysis. Therefore, the data can be analyzed without further ado in any environment, regardless of the manufacturer, diagnosis interfaces, or performance class of the devices used.

Freely configurable trigger conditions help narrow down sporadic effects, detect their causes, and eliminate them.

netANALYZER Scope is easy to use even without profound knowledge of the respective Ethernet technology, since the entire intelligence needed for interpreting telegrams is integrated in the software. Should, for whatever reason, expert advice be required, all recorded data and views can completely be saved and reloaded so that in an emergency the expert can quickly perform a remote analysis.
